Qamar Rizvi, President & CEO of aQmen Inc. attended a breakfast meeting with Indian Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mr. Sujit Banerjee, hosted by the Canada-India Business Council in Toronto. Mr. Banerjee was on a two-week visit to Toronto to boost ties with Canada and spoke about the growth opportunities in the Indian Tourism and Trade sectors. India is projected to soon become the fifth fastest-growing business travel destination, with an estimated real growth rate of 7.6 per cent. According to Mr. Banerjee, growth in the higher-income categories of India’s population has led to a burgeoning affluent society, which can have significant implications for Canadian companies wishing to do business in the country.
